Each year the Galesburg High School art department selects five students to be the recipients of a generous gift from the Galesburg Community Foundations Joy Fund. This year, the following juniors were selected:
Megan Whetstine
Perfeita Lekuya
Xia Chen
Sophie Brazee
Kiki Kulland
Each student received $400 to purchase art supplies from Blick Art Materials. On December 18th, they visited the retail store to open their new art supplies.
They will spend the next year creating art and their work will be featured in the National Arts in Education Week Show at the Galesburg Civic Art Center in September.
