The 2024-25 FAFSA is finally available! While the new FAFSA online form is supposed to be easier to complete, there are planned pauses to deal with any glitches.
Don't stress! We are here to help during this transitional process. If you need more help, please plan to attend our FAFSA completion workshop on January 18th from 5-7pm. Our staff is partnering with Carl Sandburg College, Monmouth College, Knox College, and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) to make sure that we can provide extra support to our Galesburg students! We are ready to help you with any questions you may have!
Each student and guardian must create a FSA ID at least 48 hours before planning to complete the FAFSA. If you are planning to attend the help session on January 18th, both the student and one guardian should create their own FSA ID by January 15. Visit studentaid.gov to create your FSA ID. The FSA ID is how you will log into FAFSA. Bring this information and your 2022 tax return information for both the student and the guardian(s).
Please do not forget that the state of Illinois requires all graduating seniors to complete the FAFSA prior to receiving their diploma
